Description of your changes

Render's Docker resources had no labels, so leftovers (after kill -9, crashes, CI timeouts) couldn't be identified or swept. Adds:

  • render.crossplane.io/managed-by: crossplane on Function containers, the render container and the network.
  • render.crossplane.io/cleanup: <policy> on Function containers.

Label keys are exported constants, and docker.RunWithLabels passes them to RunContainer. A reused named container (runtime-docker-name) isn't relabeled, since Docker can't change an existing container's labels.

Follow-ups: per-run session label, and a sweep command.

Fixes #401

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Docker resources created by crossplane render carried no labels, so
leftovers after a crash, kill -9, a CI timeout, or a deliberate Orphan
cleanup policy could not be reliably identified or swept.

Apply render.crossplane.io/managed-by=crossplane to Function containers,
the render engine container and the temporary render network, and record
the effective cleanup policy on Function containers as
render.crossplane.io/cleanup. The label keys are exported constants, and
a new docker.RunWithLabels option plumbs labels into docker.RunContainer.

Fixes crossplane#401

📝 Walkthrough

Render-created Docker containers and networks receive a Crossplane managed-by label. Function containers also receive a label for their cleanup policy. The Docker container option merges supplied labels with existing labels.

Explanation

Issue #401 requires render.crossplane.io/managed-by=crossplane for render-created containers and networks. The implementation applies the label to Function containers, the render container, and the render network, and tests cover label propagation. However, LabelValueManagedByCrossplane is set to crossplane-cli, not crossplane. The session and sweep capabilities remain proposed follow-ups, so they are not required for this PR.

Group the test inputs under args.

Thanks for covering both nil and existing labels. Could you put existing and labels in an args field? That keeps this table consistent with the required test structure.

As per path instructions, **/*_test.go requires the “args/want pattern.”
