Expose replay metadata and preserve error compatibility - #369
Expose the received replay marker in TypeScript response metadata, retain legacy idempotency errors, and bind replay guidance to the checked API source. Distinguish the older pinned Platform campaign window from the response-replay contract's one-hour window. The real producer supplies the unpublished replay supplement. The snippet catalog is rebound to the changed SDK inputs; its 31 programs per language and baseline API pins are unchanged.
Verification
The current successor retains the Go upload cancellation repair, Python replay-error catalog repair and hosted Rust disk-use remedy. Before publishing each source repair: the real Go verifier passed formatting, vet, SDK/storage race tests and builds, framework assets and example race tests/build; Python Ruff/formatting, mypy and six targeted tests passed with frozen lock validation. The deterministic Go EOF regression failed in both cancellation/deadline cases before repair; the original hosted timing was not reproduced by ten local repetitions, so no stronger reproduction claim is made.
The campaign guide now identifies the older pinned 24-hour window separately from one-hour response-replay receipts and warns about expiry. The unavailable-replay guidance no longer implies that waiting restores denied data. All 25 replay-contract tests, formatting, Go vet and ten export regressions passed before the documentation successor; compiled Go behavior was unchanged.
The genuine replay producer now binds the checked API successor. All 25 replay-contract tests and ten snippet regressions passed; all 31 programs per language and package metadata stayed byte-identical. The Go package checker previously verified all 31 actual exported programs and rejected a nonexistent method against the unchanged package source. Source/export commits follow the documented producer sequence. Root lint/type/build/unit results remain attributed to their original source inputs, including 2,206 runnable tests and 113 native-environment skips. No old-head hosted pass qualifies this successor.
The Rust remedy removes compiler debug information only from hosted dev/test verification, preserving assertions, features, commands and the full matrix; formatting, actionlint and the real ten-row matrix inventory passed before its commit. Its hosted stable job passed. Current-head hosted CI, successful Codex code/security review and cleared CodeRabbit findings remain merge gates. No review-service error or optional skip is relabelled successful verification.
Release status
Source only. No package publication, API availability or sensitive-content retention exception. Merge with the complete qualified family after the human's hosted-CI and review gates. API → Docs → Marketing stack; CLI companion.
The API now replays a completed request's status and body (success or
error) with Idempotent-Replayed: true, answers 422 idempotency_conflict for
key reuse, and returns 503 idempotency_replay_unavailable (retryable with the
same key) when a stored response cannot be read. Replace
idempotency_completed with idempotency_replay_unavailable in the known codes
and update the README and method docs.
Contract snapshots refresh after the API change merges to dev; until then
the pinned error-code contract test reports the new code.

The pull request adds an unpublished idempotency replay contract and updates TypeScript error codes, response metadata, documentation, and tests. It also fixes Go upload cancellation handling after response-body reads and changes CI and package settings.
Changes: Idempotency replay contract
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Extract and record the replay contract scripts/sync-idempotency-replay-contract.mjs, contracts/idempotency-replay.json, contracts/README.md, contracts/doc-snippets.json, scripts/doc-snippets/recipes.mjs, packages/typescript/test/error-body.test.ts
A script extracts replay details from pinned OpenAPI documents and writes an unpublished snapshot. The snapshot and documentation describe replay responses, one-hour key windows, and campaign-conversion conflicts. The test checks snapshot metadata and error codes.
Expose replay state and update SDK guidance packages/typescript/src/errors.ts, packages/python/src/polymorfa/error_codes.py, packages/typescript/src/transport/http.ts, packages/typescript/src/transport/idempotency.ts, packages/typescript/README.md, packages/typescript/src/messaging/cloud-templates.ts, packages/typescript/src/platform/campaigns.ts, packages/typescript/test/transport.test.ts
TypeScript and Python error-code sets add idempotency_replay_unavailable. TypeScript response metadata retains idempotent-replayed, with tests for replay metadata and single-attempt handling. Documentation updates retry, replay availability, key reuse, and conversion-conflict guidance.
Go upload cancellation
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Preserve context errors after body reads packages/go/media_upload.go, packages/go/media_upload_test.go
directPost checks for cancellation or deadline expiry after reading the response body. Tests cover both outcomes when the read returns EOF.
The native SDK verification job disables Cargo debug information for development and test builds. Root package overrides pin glob and minimatch versions.

Explanation
The title "Expose replay metadata and preserve error compatibility" matches the main changes. The TypeScript transport now keeps the received Idempotent-Replayed header (http.ts, transport tests). The PR also keeps legacy idempotency error codes and adds the new replay-unavailable code in TypeScript and Python. The title does not cover the many other changes, such as the Go cancellation fix, the Rust CI debug-info change, the lockfile and dependency overrides, and the snippet provenance regeneration. That is expected for a title, so the title is related to the main change.

Please perform the exhaustive current-head code review required by the human's November 5 merge policy, including all changed source and contract/consumer boundaries. The branch has been integrated with its actual immediate parent. Old-head green evidence does not qualify this head. Extra local validation was explicitly waived; producer results and remaining availability/security/legal gates are stated in the PR body.

Exhaustive final-head review requested for c21a988 after actual source repairs, parent integration and genuine producer updates. Please include every changed source/contract boundary and all review bodies. Earlier findings have source-specific dispositions; old-head results do not qualify this head. API/Docs/marketing are one dependent stack and will merge only as a complete qualified family. Extra local validation was waived by the human; no release or retention exception is granted.

Remove the duplicate "idempotent-replayed" entry from SAFE_RESPONSE_HEADERS.
The array already contains "idempotent-replayed" at Line 1018, and that line is unchanged. The new entry at Line 1010 does not change behavior. responseMetadata writes each header into headerRecord by key, so a second entry writes the same value again.
The change does not expose the marker, so the new tests would also pass without it. Remove the duplicate. Update the PR description if it says this change adds the header to the allowlist.
