Review comments at @frontend/src/components/ui/session-status-indicator.tsx:
- Around line 114-115: Update the background-status handling around
backgroundOnly to keep a status region mounted with aria-live="polite" and
update its text when background work starts or stops; keep the indicator itself
conditional.
Review comments at @frontend/src/contexts/EventContext.tsx:
- Around line 432-436: Update the ancestry-resolution flow to include session
IDs of running shell owners returned by listShells, not only IDs from
listActiveSessions. Reuse the shell-owner IDs extracted in the EventContext
snapshot mapping so resolveSessionAncestry can establish parent links for idle
children that own running shells.
- Line 430: Update the listShells request flow around
useSessionStatus.getState().replaceRunningShells to reconcile its snapshot with
shell events received while the request is in flight. Ensure an older snapshot
cannot restore a shell removed by clearShell or hide a shell created by a newer
event.
- Line 451: Update the ancestry-resolution guard around `parents` and
`ancestryInFlightRef` so an existing parent link does not stop traversal: follow
known parent links until reaching a known root, and fetch the first missing
link. Keep the in-flight check to avoid duplicate requests.
- Line 691: Update the repository-directory subscription effect to call
syncRunningShells when it adds directories after the stream is connected, so
running shells are included in the indicator without waiting for a reconnect or
resync.

The transcript cache is never re-read when a mounted session page switches to another session or is returned to, so a session that finished while the user was away kept showing its stop button and treated new prompts as queued. Re-read the newest page whenever the session subscription starts with an existing cache, and drop refetchOnMount so a mount performs a single read.
- keep shell state changed by events that arrive while a shell snapshot is in flight, so an exited shell is not restored and a new one is not dropped - resolve session ancestry for the owners of running shells and for new shells - follow already-known parent links when resolving ancestry - sync running shells for repository directories added after the stream connects - announce session and background activity to screen readers from the prompt bar
Fixes appliedAddressed the 5 open review items plus a related bug reported by the maintainer, in Stale session state: the transcript cache was never re-read when a mounted session page switched sessions or was returned to, so a session that finished while away kept showing its stop button and treated new prompts as queued. The newest page is now re-read when the session subscription starts with an existing cache. Review items:

227-228: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low valueReplace the fixed 20 ms sleep with a deterministic wait.
The sleep makes the "exactly one read" assertion timing-dependent. A late second read can pass the test when the machine is slow. Flush pending work with
await act(async () => {})before the assertion. This is more stable and faster.Proposed change
- await new Promise((resolve) => setTimeout(resolve, 20)) + await act(async () => { + await Promise.resolve() + }) expect(mocks.readSessionSnapshot).toHaveBeenCalledTimes(1)🤖 Prompt for AI Agents
