UniTerminal

In-game command console for Unity. Type commands, get suggestions, filter logs — zero startup reflection cost.

Install

UPM (recommended): add via Package Manager → + → Add package from git URL:

https://github.com/NoSlimes/UniTerminal.git#2.5.0

Release zip: download from the Releases page, unpack into Assets/.

Requires Unity 6000+.

Setup

  1. Assets → Create → UniTerminal → UniTerminal, or Tools → UniTerminal → Create UniTerminal Prefab.
  2. Make sure the instance sits in your startup scene (it defaults to DontDestroyOnLoad).
  3. Press backquote (`) in Play mode. help lists everything.

Your first command

using System;
using NoSlimes.Util.UniTerminal;

public static class MyCheats
{
    [ConsoleCommand("heal", Description = "Heals the player.")]
    public static void HealCommand(CommandResponseDelegate response, int amount)
    {
        Player.Instance.Heal(amount);
        response($"Healed for {amount} HP.", true);
    }
}

Rules: methods must be static (or on a UnityEngine.Object found in the scene). First parameter may be a response callback (Action<string>, Action<string, bool>, or CommandResponseDelegate). Arguments convert from strings automatically (int, float, bool, enums, Vector2/3, Color, …).

Where next

  • Commands — parameters, converters, invoking from code
  • Autocomplete — per-parameter suggestions
  • Caching — how the command cache works (coming soon)
  • Configuration — settings window, stripping built-ins (coming soon)
