older documentation browser runs kept consuming runners after a newer revision was pushed.

Summary

  • cancel superseded browser checks for the same ref while keeping different PRs and main independent
  • keep the full browser suite and required rust and cargo-audit checks unchanged

Verification

  • prior focused actionlint and same-ref/cross-ref concurrency simulation passed
  • prior task-owned Raft verification: frozen pnpm install and test:config passed (1/1)
  • hosted CI and reviews will be checked before merging
  • cargo fmt, clippy and tests were not rerun locally for this workflow-only change

Docs

  • docs/README.md describes cancellation behavior
  • no CLI behavior or notable user-facing change requiring a changelog entry

Auth / Secrets

  • no tokens, cookies or local config secrets committed
  • existing signed commit preserved

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Browser test runs now cancel an older run for the same branch or pull request when a newer run starts. Runs for other refs continue independently.
  • Documentation
    • Updated documentation to describe when the full browser suite runs and how overlapping runs are handled.

Walkthrough

The browser workflow now cancels an in-progress run when a newer run uses the same workflow and Git ref. The README documents the workflow triggers and cancellation behavior.

Changes: Browser CI run management

The workflow cancels superseded runs for the same workflow and Git ref. The README documents browser-suite triggers and explains that runs for different refs remain independent.
