The Get Started workstream of #41.

What

A new section on the Install page after Get Started — “Work from the browser — on main, in the next release” — covering what engine main added beyond v0.10.0:

  • double-clickable macOS app opening keel in the browser (#463, keel serve #452)
  • first-run checklist (#455) and a setup surface that cannot arm, release or spend (#456)
  • credentials in the OS keychain (#464, #465)
  • market data as a background job (#467)
  • attest and promote from the browser (#469)
  • WAL mode: watching a live fetch no longer blocks the writer (#470)

Honesty

Every one of those commits is ahead of v0.10.0 — nothing is released yet (v0.10.0 ships wheels only), so the copy says “on main, in the next release,” keeps the current download labeled the terminal-first path, and points at the changelog (#42) for each version as it ships.

Mirrored in MSA Arabic and journalistic French; install revs → 2026-08-20.8 in step.

…tated honestly

Engine main is 25 commits past v0.10.0, and the setup story changed shape:
a double-clickable macOS app that opens keel in your browser (#463), keel
serve (#452), a first-run checklist (#455) and a setup write surface that
cannot arm, release or spend (#456), credentials in the OS keychain
(#464) with a form the wizard may not hide behind (#465), market data as
a background job (#467), attest-and-promote from the browser (#469), and
WAL mode so watching a fetch never blocks the writer (#470).

None of that is in a release — v0.10.0 ships wheels only — so the new
section on the Install page says exactly that: on main, in the next
release; the download above stays the terminal-first path; the changelog
lists each version the day it ships. Mirrored in MSA Arabic and
journalistic French; install revs move to 2026-08-20.8 in step.
