ci: qualify the shared Zsh lint workflow pilot #30
Record the exact source inventory (the reviewed build.zsh scope only), execution profiles, repository-owned compatibility floor, workflow SHA and analyzer release SHA.
Use the shared workflow with explicit configuration and retain functional, native syntax and compilation checks.
Compare old and new diagnostics at the same analyzer revision and explain all changes.
Verify a clean case, a deliberate finding, malformed configuration and a fork-PR run without secrets or write permissions.
Preserve compatibility during migration. Required-check changes follow actual check-name and trigger-coverage verification; observation remains explicit until qualified.
Roll back by restoring prior reviewed pins.
Dependencies and next action
The shared lint implementation is complete in z-shell/.github#678 and issue z-shell/.github#674 is closed. Pilot enrollment remains deferred by the maintainer's decision on initiative z-shell/.github#673, alongside the native-oracle rollout and required-check changes in z-shell/.github#666 and z-shell/.github#667. Release expansion still requires z-shell/.github#543 qualification. Do not change callers, expand source scope or change required checks until rollout resumes.
Status: Blocked on the configuration-migration decision.
Qualification resumed under z-shell/.github#673. The current caller pins unreleased analyzer 1e8b0a6c02d4aa433e6aee8ca141e11ef62ba76b and uses schema-v1 configuration. Released v1.3.0 rejects its obsolete function_namespaces field; v1.1.0 predates project configuration, and v1.2.0 requires schema v2.
A candidate migration was tested in isolation: schema version 2, identifier zunit, unchanged Zsh 5.5.1 floor and build.zsh standalone-executable inventory. With released analyzer v1.3.0, direct invocation and the shared wrapper produce identical one-file, zero-diagnostic reports. The native suite passed all 125 tests on Zsh 5.9.2; this is not new evidence for the 5.5.1 runtime floor.
Next: maintainer decision on migrating the canonical config and existing analyzer pin together, then add the observation caller and qualify hosted/fork behavior. Source and required-check settings remain unchanged. The fork-creation decision is pending separately.
Status: Pilot qualification complete; observation remains advisory.
Merged #31 at 94bf8d687015776a09a12f91dbc27d5b986b2939, after the explicitly approved schema-v2 and analyzer-pin migration. The existing required lint check name, build.zsh-only inventory and declared Zsh 5.5.1 floor are preserved.
All PR and post-merge workflows passed, including post-merge pilot and native tests. The documentation-only fork PR #32 changed only docs/ci-qualification-probe.md and passed every emitted check. Its pilot run emitted Observe Zsh Lint / Zsh Lint; logs show only Contents: read, Metadata: read, Secret source: None and Cache mode: none.
The fork artifact confirms workflow af725f0ad9c7b24dd4f4527e582ade2eb8e9ea7b, released analyzer v1.3.0 999cb76cc65ef6af56c0ae65ab0f3622eb527944, one file and zero diagnostics. Original and migrated direct reports, and the new direct/wrapped reports, agree. The 125-test local native suite passed on Zsh 5.9.2, together with syntax/compilation and the recorded isolated clean/warning/malformed-config probes for this wrapper/analyzer pair. No new 5.5.1 runtime claim is made.
This completes the pilot criteria. Close the temporary fork PR without merge. Required-check settings remain unchanged under the separate z-shell/.github#667 decision; workflow release expansion remains blocked by z-shell/.github#543. Restore the old config and analyzer pin together if rolling back.
