Roadmap

Releases are community-driven. There is no fixed feature plan. Open a Discussion or an Issue and say what is missing for your use case. Those requests decide what goes into the next release.

The ongoing work is bug fixes, documentation improvements, and reading community feedback.

Release history

Every release, with its migration notes, is listed in the CHANGELOG. The CHANGELOG is the single source for release history, and it is kept next to the code it describes. A one-paragraph summary of the newest releases is on the README.

Ideas parked

These items are wanted but not scheduled. If one of them blocks you, say so in an issue and it moves up the list:

  • Streaming variants of the non-classical indicators — all 36 of these indicators are streaming-capable, but the streaming tier is not built yet.
  • Rolling-window Transfer Entropy — this is the time-series form of the scalar Transfer Entropy that ships today.
  • Kraskov–Stögbauer–Grassberger Transfer Entropy — this is a continuous-variable estimator. It is more accurate than binning, and it is heavy to implement.
  • Conditional Transfer Entropy — this variant controls for a third variable.
  • Skia glyph-path provider for SvgRenderContext — it is already wired through ChartServices.GlyphPathProvider. It still needs a Skia test fixture to drive the glyph-emit paths.
  • WPF in the CI matrix — this needs the Windows targeting pack on the Linux runner. Today WPF builds with EnableWindowsTargeting=true.

Not planned

  • Full TeX / LaTeX rendering — the MathText parser covers the common cases. A bundled TeX engine is out of scope.
  • GPU acceleration — the SVG renderer is CPU-bound by design. SkiaSharp handles the raster workloads.
