Dusk, not darkness. Superdark is an Omarchy theme built around a dusk sky: slate blue and petrol above, a slanted band of peach and rust glowing on the horizon. The result is a deep navy desktop with warm terracotta accents that feels calm for long sessions, yet never goes muddy or low-contrast.
- Palette and wallpaper, designed together. The colors of the terminal, editor, bar and window borders were tuned alongside the wallpaper, so the whole desktop reads as one scene.
- Deep and saturated. A rich midnight-navy base (
#111927) instead of flat grey, with colors that have real presence: coral, peach, sand, sage, mist, sky and dusty rose. - Contrast you can measure. Every palette color reaches at least 5.9 : 1 against the background (WCAG AA asks for 4.5 : 1). Body text sits at 13 : 1, and selected text stays at 10 : 1.
- Clean gradients, made from scratch. The wallpapers are generated procedurally in 3840×2400 by
wallpaper/generate.sh, with fine film grain as dithering, so the gradient shows no banding, even on large, bright displays. - Two wallpapers included. The dark dusk version is the default; a lighter daytime version is one
omarchy theme bg nextaway. - Everything themed. It is a pure
colors.tomltheme, so Omarchy generates matching configs for Hyprland, the shell/bar, Alacritty, Foot, Kitty, Ghostty, btop, Neovim, Helix, VS Code, Chromium, Obsidian and more, plus a matching boot-unlock screen.
