In most of Europe the national ID card (e.g. the German Personalausweis) is the primary travel document inside the EU/Schengen area, and its expiry matters just as much as a passport's. Right now it can only be filed as a passport, which mixes up expiry reminders and document lists.
Suggestion: add a national_id type (label "National ID card"), with the same fields as a passport. Since it's a schema enum, it probably needs a small migration. I didn't want to add it locally for that reason (a local-only enum value could break validation on a later upgrade).
