Windows Defender detects v0.8.0 Windows binary as Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml #41

Description

@TomcatSu

Summary

Windows Defender quarantined the AgentDock v0.8.0 Windows x64 core binary during installation.

Environment

Detection

  • Detection name: Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml
  • Affected file: agentdock.exe
  • Result: Windows Defender quarantined the core binary, so the local service could not remain running.
  • SmartScreen also displayed an unrecognized-app warning when launching the installer downloaded through a browser.

Verification

The installer SHA-256 matched the checksum published by the official release:

1C3547244A23281932004AC3513F9695E47D7AD0ABEADF77FB778B7C49C6B631

Could you please confirm whether this is a known false positive, whether the release artifact is expected to be signed, and whether a corrected Windows build or updated checksum is available?

No credentials or private configuration data are included in this report.
