Shopify Integration Guide

Test Environment

If you have a test Shopify store, you'll want to use Try.com in test mode. Contact engineering@try.com if you'd like to get set up on our test environment (canary.try.com). If you do not have an entirely separate test Shopify store, then you can proceed as normal with the Try.com production environment (try.com). You may still use an unpublished Shopify theme on your live store to test with.

Step 1. Install the Shopify App

Visit your Merchant Portal and navigate to the Install page. Ensure your shopify url is set up correctly and hit the Install button.

Step 2. Include the Javascript SDK

In the Install page you'll be presented with the HTML snippet that includes our Try Button SDK into your site. You'll need to include that snippet in your shopify theme in the

of every page.

This is all configured in the Merchant Portal in the "Drop-in UI" section.

Express Checkout

We have a separate Javascript SDK if you wish to use the Express Checkout instead of the Try Button.
