Release toolchain-lite 0.1.0 to PyPI (waiting on the user's steps) #73

Closed

Description

@b-re-w

Tracks toolchain-lite 0.1.0 (#69, #70). Everything on our side is done once #72 merges; what's left is the user's.

Done

User steps, in this order (publishing tags main's current head):

  1. On PyPI project toolchain-lite, add a trusted publisher: owner thisisthepy, repository toolchain, workflow publish-pypi.yml, environment pypi.
  2. Merge release→main PR Release: merge release into main #64 once it carries CI: Tag toolchain-lite releases toolchain-lite-v<version> #72. Main is locked, so unlock it to merge.
  3. Publish the draft Release toolchain-lite-v0.1.0.
  4. Yank toolchain-lite 0.0.1 on PyPI. It packed the old Gradle module's sources and installs no tcl.

Done when uv tool install toolchain-lite installs 0.1.0 and tcl --version prints tcl 0.1.0.

    toolchain-lite 0.1.0 has been on PyPI since 2026-10-03 (four wheels: macOS arm64, manylinux x86_64/aarch64, win_amd64). uvx --from toolchain-lite==0.1.0 tcl --version prints tcl 0.1.0 (checked 2026-10-17). The docs were corrected via #88. One step remains: 0.0.1 is not yanked yet, which is the maintainer's step on PyPI.
