The Homebrew guide still called the published RC CLI beta, and contributor setup did not warn that an invented project noreply address can map a commit to an unrelated GitHub account.
Use prerelease wording and explain verified author/committer identity, repository-local configuration, and why a contributor display is not a reason to rewrite shared release history. No runtime, dependencies, release pointers or signed artifacts change.
Validation: public hygiene, diff check and changed-source secret scan pass; all four dependency locks scanned with OSV, 0 findings. Hosted Linux/macOS CI qualifies the documentation commit. The issue tracker was separately reconciled against RC.1 with delivered scope and remaining proof requirements kept distinct.
