Prepare v1.0.0-rc.12 with the merged Windows switch capture recovery and WebView focus fixes from #792. Synchronize the application, startup launcher, lockfiles, browser metadata and configuration assertion at 1.0.0-rc.12. The QWERTY keyboard remains in rc.13.

Validation passed on Node.js 24.13.0 and Rust 1.97.1: npm run lint; npm test with 151 frontend and five script tests; npm run build; cargo fmt check; cargo clippy with warnings denied; cargo test with 408 unit and seven integration tests; startup-launcher tests with two tests. git diff --check passed.
Independent review of latest head a14e26d found no actionable findings. All hosted CI passed, including Windows installer verification, macOS packaging, frontend, dependency audit and CodeQL. No live input or device smoke test was performed for this version-only change.
The local switchify-signing runner is online for the existing credential-gated release workflow. Publication must use an annotated tag on main and the existing signed package and updater verification gates.
