Native decision profiles cannot currently load declared LoRA adapters at runtime. This adds explicit opt-in classes for Laya, GLiNER2 Decide, Perplexity Decider and GLiClass using the shared entity-adapter lifecycle. Ordinary profiles retain their inference paths. LoRA-enabled profiles have selection and synchronization overhead even when selecting the base model.

Adapters load on demand under the resident-capacity/LRU policy. Concurrent selections are isolated, base parameters and flags are restored after use, and unsafe rollback fails closed. Adapted requests run eagerly while existing base CUDA graphs remain available. Typed Laya, Decide and Perplexity profiles support native, SystemOne and Decisions routes; GLiClass retains its classification-only contract.

Loading requires a declared source and a compatible complete PEFT safetensors export. Unsupported exporter features and targets fail before attachment. The shared resolver supports local and cluster copies with Hub fallback disabled, including recovery from partial local copies. Complete supported Decide exports retain and validate classifier/span projections.

Real H100 testing also exposed a native checkpoint-loading bug: Hub 1.33 can attempt a remote tree lookup for an exact cached revision despite HF offline mode. The Decide, Laya and Perplexity loaders now resolve snapshots from the configured SIE cache and explicitly disable remote lookup when HF offline mode is set or SIE Hub fallback is disabled. The local-path shortcut, exact revision and file filters are preserved. This changes checkpoint loading only.

Real H100 testing also exposed a shared eviction bug: warm native extract and score requests did not update LoRA recency, so loading a third adapter could evict one just used. Successful worker selection now updates the current ready resident through the existing registry callback interface. The callback resolves aliases, checks adapter identity and lifecycle state, and performs no fetch, await or attachment. Base and failed selections bypass the callback.

The latest revision, fc3f4f4, passes all 47 CI checks and has CodeRabbit approval with no unresolved review threads. Targeted validation passes 199 decision, reranker, registry, worker-LoRA and score tests, lint/format and focused type checking. Four regressions fail on the previous source and pass with the fix: queued and preformed Laya workers plus served BERT and XLM-R rerankers. The offline checkpoint helper was also exercised against actual Hub 1.33 with sockets forbidden and verified in the built wheel. An independent adversarial review found no blocking issues in source admission, tensor validation, concurrent selection or rollback safety.

Real H100 qualification now passes for all four families at this exact source revision. Independent review checked 131 qualifying HTTP cases (114 successes and 17 expected cold-loading responses), 17 ordinary native PEFT reference cases, and 228 returned items across the completed family runs. Maximum absolute numeric payload difference is 0.0 in every family; output structure and choices also match. The tests cover distinct A/B adapter effects, concurrent selections, capacity-two eviction/reload, exact repeated-base restoration, and prepared/attached/native-reference tensor hashes. The trained Decide export covers 304 tensors and 152 targets.

Decide, Laya and GLiClass retained their original base graph owners, captured/replayed graphs, avoided graphs while adapted, and replayed the original graphs after restoration. Perplexity remains eager. The ordinary non-LoRA inference classes are separate; no throughput or task-quality claim is made from these instrumented functional tests.

The four pinned checkpoints were:

  • fastino/GLiNER2.5-Decide@7ee5da4c2415e32259bcdc0b1a7367c32ce8d6f6
  • convaiinnovations/laya-typed-decisions@bc76315b568af04bc19f133c8bca9a2b3a2d9905
  • knowledgator/gliclass-large-v1.0@ae8a18644e84cfda53325bd91c7941f2f6fd0ccb
  • perplexity-ai/pplx-decider-v1.1-27b@14c9d90137962d300f3de95633f7b6535e80c5ce

The environment used H100 80 GB, Torch 2.9.1+cu129 and PEFT 0.19.1; Laya/GLiClass consumed Transformers 4.57.6, while Decide/Perplexity consumed Transformers 5.17.0. Ready/shutdown import hashes were checked against the source archive, and staged checkpoint bytes were checked against their pinned public hashes.

A retained earlier Perplexity attempt timed out at 30 seconds on its first base inference. The prospectively reviewed follow-up allowed only that first call up to 240 seconds, retaining 30 seconds for later calls and all original numerical/lifecycle gates. It completed in 29.6426 seconds; subsequent base requests were about 0.108 seconds. This shows substantial cold-first-forward cost without identifying its exact upstream cause. Earlier failed runs remain failed; the completed Decide/Laya/GLiClass and Perplexity proofs are recorded separately. Every owned GPU app is stopped with zero containers/tasks and its local controllers reaped.

Priority: Normal

Merge Risk: Minimal · up to fc3f4

This change adds opt-in runtime LoRA support for the native decision models and updates the LRU order after worker selection. No concrete merge-blocking defect remains in the supplied review. Real-GPU qualification and fresh CI, which the author already tracks, should finish before the draft is merged.

@coderabbitai review

The only change since the approved production snapshot 7a55556 is a correction to an endpoint test that expected a consumed legacy alias to remain in worker options. Eight adjacent routing tests pass. Please review the current 5e8ff11 head; production source is unchanged.

Please review the remaining decision-runtime diff at exact head 5e8ff11cb71a8813b6c3ca13520a966c07abffe8 after dependencies #830 and #833 merged. GitHub dismissed the previous approval because the merge base changed; no new commit was pushed. All 46 current-head checks and all six workflow aggregates passed. Real-checkpoint GPU qualification is still outstanding and this PR remains draft; review approval alone will not trigger a merge.

Merged #837 into this PR at 37cba87. Both requested corrections are present: profile alias/source defaults resolve within the selected profile, and gateway error metadata identifies the offending selector field. The follow-up also rejects defaults or explicit selections that rely solely on a sibling profile's source declaration.

The seven correction files and two CLI cache-policy files match reviewed main exactly. The combined source passes 34 focused decision lifecycle/HTTP cases and 79 Decisions API cases; two Transformers 5 module collections are skipped in this local environment. Fresh full CI is running. Real-checkpoint GPU qualification remains outstanding, so this PR stays draft.

The final source is now 4e8d7ba. Real H100 qualification found a pinned-checkpoint offline lookup problem before inference. The six-file follow-up adds a shared load-time resolver for Decide/Laya/Perplexity that preserves local paths, revision and file filters while honoring configured SIE cache/fallback and HF offline policy. Inference paths and LoRA numerical gates are unchanged.

199 affected CPU tests pass, plus actual Hub 1.33 socket-denied resolver checks and wheel inclusion verification. Please review the final implementation and offline-cache behavior. GPU qualification and fresh CI remain pending; the earlier revision's green checks are not treated as this revision's checks.

Please review current head fc3f4f4, including the warm-request LoRA LRU fix discovered by real H100 testing. The ready-only registry callback is alias-aware, checks adapter identity and lifecycle state, and is bypassed by base and failed selections. Four true red/green decision/reranker regressions and the 199-test focused suite pass. The PR remains draft pending unchanged real-GPU qualification and fresh checks.
