Summary

Replaces the community CoplayDev unity-mcp guidance with Unity's official integration. Unity deprecated the in-editor MCP server in com.unity.ai.assistant; the Unity CLI is its supported replacement, and unity mcp is the CLI's stdio MCP server for clients that cannot run shell commands.

  • Rewrites /setup-engine §7.4 in all three copies around the Unity CLI: unity status, unity command, unity recompile, unity test, with unity mcp as the optional fallback.
  • Replaces CoplayDev tool names in the five Unity specialist agents and their .agents / .opencode module copies.
  • Updates docs/framework/setup-requirements.md and quick-start.md, including per-harness MCP configs for OpenCode, Pi (~/.pi/agent/mcp.json, exposure: "direct") and omp.
  • Changes opencode.json from the old remote http://localhost:8080/mcp entry to the local ["unity", "mcp"] server, still disabled.
  • Updates README.md and both engine-unity/modulefile.yaml descriptions.
  • Keeps the community package documented only as an older-Unity fallback: the CLI drives Unity 6.0+ only, while unity-mcp still works on Unity 2021.3–5.x.

Verification

  • node tests/agents/validate.mjs — 209/209 PASS
  • python -m json.tool opencode.json — valid
  • git diff --check — clean
  • node .opencode/modules/install.mjs list — module metadata parses
  • Pre-commit hooks: framework validation and workflow integrity passed
  • Unity runtime commands were not executed because neither the Unity CLI nor Editor is installed on the authoring machine. Command examples are verified against Unity's current documentation.

  their module copies
- Update setup requirements, quick start, README and module metadata
- Point opencode.json at the local `unity mcp` server, still disabled
