client/go.mod still declared an old Go version — stamped by go mod init in January 2025 as 1.23.4, only nudged to 1.25.0 by #11 because a dependency required it. Nothing (go mod tidy, toolchain upgrades) raises it otherwise.

The flox environment ships Go 1.26, so align the directive with it. Uses 1.26.0 rather than a patch version so it doesn't force a specific patch-level toolchain on contributors or CI.

The server module is not touched here since #11 already bumped it to 1.26.7 (required by consul/api 1.34.5).

make test and make build pass locally.

The client module still declared go 1.25.0 (originally 1.23.4 from when
it was created in January 2025; nothing ever bumps this automatically
beyond what a dependency demands). The flox toolchain is 1.26, so align
the directive with it and unlock 1.26 language features for the client.
The server already moved to 1.26.7 in #11.
