Summary

Implements a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server directly inside google_assistant_entity_console adhering strictly to the MCP 2026-07-28 Streamable HTTP specification.

  • Zero External Dependencies: Implemented natively atop Home Assistant's built-in aiohttp and HomeAssistantView pipeline (requirements: [] preserved).
  • Stateless 2026-07-28 Transport: Eliminates legacy sticky SSE session states. Single unified endpoint at POST /api/google_assistant_entity_console/mcp supporting direct JSON replies and request-scoped text/event-stream with Mcp-Protocol-Version: 2026-07-28.
  • Protected by HA Token Auth: Secured via requires_auth = True (Bearer token authentication).
  • Tool Suite (7 Tools):
    • Inspection: list_entities, get_entity, get_google_assistant_status
    • Mutation: set_entity_exposure, set_entity_nicknames, manage_blocklist_rule
    • Cloud Sync: sync_to_google (zero-reboot devices:requestSync to Google HomeGraph)
  • Tool Cache Hint: ttlMs: 300000 (5 minutes) in tools/list.
  • Living Documentation: Comprehensive documentation added to README.md and docs/ARCHITECTURE.md with diagrams and client configurations for MCG, Antigravity, and Claude Desktop.
  • Test Suite: 39 dedicated MCP unit and integration tests added; 100% pass across all 400 suite tests.

Verification

  • ruff check .: Clean (0 errors)
  • pytest tests/: 400 passed in 16.5s
