Summary

Skills Manager now deploys agent skills per machine as symlinks into ~/.skills-manager/skills/. The committed copies drift from the managed library, and symlinks to absolute user paths can't be shared.

  • Removes the 22 tracked agentflow-* skill files under .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/.
  • Ignores the per-harness skill folders: .agents/skills/, .claude/skills/, .codex/skills/, .gemini/antigravity/skills/, .grok/skills/.

Reviewer note: .claude/commands/agentflow-*.md still reference .claude/skills/agentflow-*/SKILL.md. These resolve where Skills Manager has deployed the skills; in a fresh clone without Skills Manager they won't exist until installed.

Out of scope

  • .claude/commands/, plugin manifests, .claude/settings.json, and .codex/hooks.json stay tracked.
  • skills/meshloop-* source stays tracked.
  • No setup-docs change for fresh clones.

Checks

  • cargo run -p xtask -- check — skipped: no Rust or build inputs changed (only .gitignore and agent skill markdown).
  • cargo run -p xtask -- smoke — not relevant
  • cargo run -p xtask -- bundle — not relevant

Verified git status is clean with Skills Manager deployments present.

Limitations of this change: fresh clones need Skills Manager to provide the agentflow skills.

Review identity

  • Author / executor: Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) for Samuel
  • Reviewer: pending
  • I am not claiming independent review for a self-review

Safety

  • No credentials, private prompts, session transcripts, or unknown-provenance third-party code
  • Does not claim unused adapters or live Claude/Codex/Pi/Grok/Agy dispatch as product
  • Compatibility / security consequences: none beyond the fresh-clone note above.

Skills Manager now deploys skills per machine as symlinks; ignore the
harness skill folders instead of committing copies.
