Summary

The packaged PixVerse API Plugin now installs into more coding agents than Codex, and Codex is no longer required.

Agent Registration
Codex Native plugin (existing flow and rollback, unchanged)
Claude Code Native plugin from the same local pixverse-private-beta marketplace
Gemini CLI Standalone skills in ~/.gemini/skills/
Cursor Standalone skills in ~/.cursor/skills/
GitHub Copilot CLI Standalone skills in ~/.copilot/skills/
OpenCode Standalone skills in ~/.config/opencode/skills/
  • The installer registers every agent it detects. PIXVERSE_API_AGENTS=claude,cursor limits it to the named agents.
  • If one agent fails, the installer reports it and continues. It rolls back only when no agent could be registered.
  • Skills prefer the bundled plugin wrapper and fall back to pixverse-api on PATH. Each skill carries its own reference docs.
  • Uninstall removes only the registrations recorded in the receipt and skill folders that carry the ownership marker. Legacy receipts are treated as Codex-only.
  • The non-Codex logic is in packaging/customer-plugin/dist/agents.js.

Test plan

  • npm test: 440/440 pass, including 16 new unit and e2e tests
  • npm run check, npm run security:scan, and npm run package:customer-plugin pass
  • claude plugin validate --strict passes for the marketplace and plugin manifests
  • Installed the built ZIP with the real Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Cursor setups in a sandbox HOME, confirmed each agent registered, then uninstalled with nothing left behind
  • Copilot CLI and OpenCode skill locations are from their docs, not tested here (neither tool is installed)
  • Real Codex registration was tested only with a stand-in codex (that code did not change)

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Codex is no longer required. The installer now registers the plugin with
every supported agent it detects (or those named in PIXVERSE_API_AGENTS):

- Codex and Claude Code as native plugins from the same local marketplace
- Gemini CLI, Cursor, GitHub Copilot CLI, and OpenCode as standalone
  Agent Skills (pixverse-api-start/-platform/-growth-studio)

Skills now prefer the bundled plugin wrapper and fall back to the
pixverse-api command on PATH, and carry their own reference docs.
Registrations are recorded in the install receipt; uninstall removes only
receipt-owned registrations and marker-owned skill folders.
