Both of these pinned tw's refusal where the CLI writes the value through. Written as assertions they fail on the parent commit.
The per-side border colours were the last family refusing a bracket the rest now write through, and refusing drops the selector. Each side names one longhand, so the raw value goes on that one; the width hints stay with the borders handler, which owns them.

One run of the randomised
sortsuite failed while this was in progress and did not recur in 82 subsequent runs, 40 of them on seeds that also pass without the change; the frozen whole-sheet order gate is at 0 of 3981. Noting it rather than assuming it was noise.
