It's entirely redundant with `max_nesting`, makes little sense except to match Marshal signature exactly, but I don't see the point.
Or at least behave like them.

json 3.0 fully rejects unsupported options which breaks older activesupport versions that attempt to request "quirks_mode". * ruby/json#1058 activesupport 8.1 included a patch to remove quirks_mode: * rails/rails#55534 This has been backported to 8.0 and 7.2 but not yet released: * 8.0: rails/rails@2786de2 * 7.2: rails/rails@59c76d2
