I believe ruby-build is on the autobump list (at least I don't see it being explicitly disabled in the formula).
Since ruby-build is autobumped, should we just remove this job from the release workflow? We would be relinquishing "control" of the triggering of releases in homebrew. However, we don't control the releases in other package managers either, so that would be consistent. I believe the only other downside is that the auto bumping could be delayed by as much as 3 hours after a release. I don't think that's enough of a problem to warrant continuing to maintain our own homebrew release job.
Hi, thanks for letting me know. I've made a patch release to bump-homebrew-formula-action. We can close this once Dependabot upgrades the action to v4.2
@jasonkarns I'd like to keep publishing PRs to homebrew-core with every ruby-build bump to ensure that it gets quicker into Homebrew, and in case the action fails (like it did right now), we rely on Homebrew's autobump mechanism as second line of defense.
Update: I've reversed my decision and now I'm in favor of @eregon's proposal to quit using bump-homebrew-formula-action. #2632
New information has come to light that homebrew-core requires its PR template to be submitted with every PR. My action does not submit the template and thus PRs created by it are no longer viable 😔 Homebrew/homebrew-core#293038 (comment)

(s/@eregon/@jasonkarns/ I guess for above)
3 hours is not the end of the world, but Ruby users are very eager to use new releases so some will notice (they can use
--headthen, though).
