How to Load This Extension in Chrome

Follow these steps to install and configure the PageSnap Chrome Extension:

1️Unzip the Extension Files

• Download or clone the extension source code
• If zipped, extract the zip file to a folder on your computer

2️⃣ Open Chrome Extensions Page

• Open Google Chrome
• Navigate to: chrome://extensions/

3️⃣ Enable Developer Mode

• In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle ON the Developer mode

4️⃣ Load the Unpacked Extension

• Click "Load unpacked"
• Select the unzipped folder containing the extension files

5️⃣ Add Your Gemini API Key

• After installation, a tab will open (or right-click the extension icon → Options)
• Visit Google AI Studio
• Generate your Gemini API Key
• Paste the key into the input field and click "Save Settings"

How to Use

1. Visit any website you want to summarize
2. Click the PageSnap extension icon
3. Choose a summary type (Brief / Detailed / Bullet Points)
4. Click "Summarize Page"
5. (Optional) Click "Translate to Bangla" to get a Bangla version
6. (Optional) Click "Copy Summary" to copy the result

• activeTab – To read content from the current tab
• scripting – To run content extraction scripts
• storage – To store your API key locally
• host_permissions – To access content from all URLs
