Limit the locator bar player range to a configurable amount instead of the fixed 60 million blocks
The default amount is 300 blocks, simply drop in the mod, change the amount in config/LocatorBarRange.json, and restart the server
It works by updating player attributes on join (WAYPOINT_RECEIVE_RANGE and WAYPOINT_TRANSMIT_RANGE)
The mod is intentionally as simple as possible, one could write it out in a minute or so, i'm publishing it regardless as it might come handly to smaller friends smps, as a far better alternative to a repeating command block
