feat(mcp): trim tool and resource descriptions under 600 characters - #403
Conversation
Trim oversized agent tool and resource descriptions across devframe.ts and RPC handlers to stay under 600 characters, reducing token usage in LLM conversation contexts when listing tools. Refs #372
# Conflicts: # packages/devtools/src/rpc/hydration-tools.ts # packages/devtools/src/rpc/open-in-panel.ts
Brings the descriptions of the tools added since this branch started under 600 characters, so the description length test passes after merging main. Restores guidance the first trim dropped: page selection per tool, the change-detection record workflow, write refusals for secret and redacted fields, and the side effects of navigate probe. Puts back the formatting of files the branch reformatted.

The sentence is a fragment. It does not say that this is the longest side, and the docs say the image is scaled down to fit. Use: "Scaled to at most 2000 px on the longest side."

Review comments at @apps/docs/src/content/agents/mcp-server.md:
- Line 12: Remove the unnecessary escape before the leading asterisk in the MCP
server description so it renders as “MCP tools” without a literal asterisk;
leave the surrounding wording unchanged.
Review comments at @packages/devtools/src/rpc/component-screenshots.ts:
- Line 141: Update the screenshot tool description to clarify that without
`page`, instance IDs, component names, and host tags are searched across pages
newest first, while arbitrary CSS selectors are sent only to the newest eligible
page. Make the same clarification in the Agent tools table statement about
searches without a page.

… docs keyword links Only instance ids, class names and host tags are searched on every page; a CSS selector goes to the newest page, so the description and docs now say so. The *MCP, *Angular, *NgRx and *Analog keyword links were escaped by mistake and are restored.

What and why
This continues #377 by @Kaap10, whose commit it keeps. The fork's branch can't be updated from here, so the work moved to a branch in this repository.
Agent tool and resource descriptions are sent to the agent's context every time a client lists the tools. #377 cut the longest ones to under 600 characters and added
tool-descriptions.test.ts, which keeps every description between 40 and 600 characters. After merging main, 13 tools added since then were over the limit. This PR also:
