🎨 Effervescence Creatives Repository

Ba-Effe Banner
🎭 Theme: Rangara (रंगारा)
🎪 Fest: Effervescence '25

Welcome to Ba-Effe, the design repository for Effervescence, the annual cultural fest of IIIT Allahabad. Yes, it's exactly what Ranbir Kapoor's character in Barfi could spell - if you know, you know.

And here's where it gets interesting: just like the film Barfi transported us back to the romantic 1970s with its vintage aesthetics and nostalgic charm, we're diving deep into that golden era for our theme "Rangara" (रंगारा) - a celebration of the colorful, dramatic, and unforgettable world of 70s-80s Bollywood!

Think hand-painted film posters, bold typography, warm sepia tones, and that unapologetic masala cinema energy. From the angry young man to the disco dancer, from hand-painted billboards to technicolor dreams - we're bringing back the era when every frame was a spectacle and every design told a story.

So bring your most dramatic, colorful, and cinematic design energy, and let's create some rangeen magic! 🎬✨

Whether you're taking your first steps in design or you're a seasoned pro, this is your space to contribute and collaborate.

🌟 What This Repo Is For

We're building everything visual for Effervescence:

  • Branding & visual identity — Make us look good
  • Posters, passes, banners, merchandise — The stuff people actually see
  • UI/UX concepts — Apps that don't make users cry
  • Motion graphics & 3D visuals — Because 2D is so last season

Your designs might end up on social media, festival grounds, merchandise, or massive banners. Pretty cool, right?

👥 Who Can Join This Party?

Everyone. Seriously.

  • 🎨 Just started designing? Welcome! Everyone starts somewhere
  • 🚀 Building your portfolio? Real projects make the best additions
  • 🏆 Experienced designer? Your expertise is valuable here

No gatekeeping here. Just bring your creativity and a willingness to learn!

🎨 Design Guidelines

Keep it clean, keep it original, keep it professional:

  • Original work only — Your brain > Google Images
  • Spell "Effervescence" correctly — We've seen... things
  • Clear hierarchy — If grandma can't read it, fix it
  • Production-ready — Designs should work IRL, not just on your screen
  • Purpose over pizzazz — Make it mean something
  • Embrace the Rangara spirit — Think vintage Bollywood, bold colors, dramatic compositions
