Summary

  • Deletes .github/workflows/pr-greeting.yml.
  • The bot commented on every PR with a checklist (go vet, build, "follow patterns", "clear commit message") that's already covered by .github/pull_request_template.md and surfaced by CI directly.
  • For repeat contributors the message was pure noise; for first-timers, the PR template fills the same role at the moment of opening, not in a follow-up comment.

Aligns with how most serious OSS projects handle greetings — either silent, or a CLA / first-timer-only nudge — and keeps the checklist co-located with the place authors actually fill it in.

Test plan

  • No code changes; workflow file deleted.
  • After merge: open a test PR and confirm no automated greeting comment appears.

The bot commented on every PR with a checklist that duplicates
.github/pull_request_template.md (go vet, tests, local verification).
CI failures already surface go vet/build issues directly, so the
extra comment was noise — especially for repeat contributors.
