Both config systems are kept: - ImswitchConfig stays the BaseSettings model read from base_config.yaml and gains main's uc2_* transport fields (all with defaults). Keys starting with "_" are dropped, so the "_comment" entries of the JSON setups pass extra="forbid". - main.py: NEWSWITCH_CONFIG values override single fields of base_config.yaml instead of replacing it. - provide_managers: hardware runs on main's UC2 bus managers; the device configuration still feeds the virtual managers, stage limits and detectors. A uc2-rest controller in it sets the REST bus serial port and baud rate (flat fields < device config < nested uc2_rest). - test_auth: config_file=None with main's UserStoreAuthenticator. - pyproject.toml keeps the dependencies of both sides; uv.lock re-locked. Two folders differing only in case collide on case-insensitive file systems (macOS, Windows). The device configuration moves next to the NEWSWITCH_CONFIG setups; base_config.yaml, .gitignore, tests and docs point at the new folder. Files in configs/archiv/ are left unchanged.
