Summary

Plugins tagged skills that install none. Of the 271 plugins tagged skills, 65 shipped no SKILL.md where Claude Code looks for one, or pointed at a folder their repo no longer has. Apps that filter the catalogue on the tag listed them anyway, and opening one found nothing to install.

The weekly audit now catches this (scripts/audit-plugins.js)

• Fails a git-subdir plugin whose path is gone from its repo
• Lists plugins tagged skills with no skills/<name>/SKILL.md, and none at the paths in plugin.json's skills field
• CONTRIBUTING.md says what the skills tag has to mean

Plugin fixes from running it

• Repoints 15 plugins at where they live now (dev-workflows-frontend, dev-skills, dev-workflows, five elastic-*, axiom-apple-skills, ccpm, compound-engineering, and others)
• Removes 7 plugins gone from their repos: ask-questions-if-underspecified, debug-buttercup, seatbelt-sandboxer, workflow-skill-design, skill-improver, coding-tutor, and flow (duplicate of flow-next)
• Drops the false skills tag from 53 plugins that ship only agents, commands or hooks, and tags what they ship

Left for a follow-up (the audit still flags these)

• packer-builders, packer-hcp and three terraform-*: HashiCorp merged them into plugins/packer and plugins/terraform
• phuryn-pm-skills, stitch-skills, plugins-for-claude-natives: each points at a repo holding several plugins, so it needs splitting
• sentry-for-ai: its skills sit under src/ with no plugin manifest

Testing: ran the audit locally with a token, from 16 unreachable and 67 mistagged down to the 9 above. ./scripts/build-marketplace.sh builds 301 plugins, 213 tagged skills. marketplace.json left for CI to regenerate.
