Browsing tagged files and folders #64577

Description

@daMark-de

If a Nextcloud instance contains a lot of tagged files and folders and somebody wants to browse through you can start at the “Tags” filter in the files-browser. If you click on “Tags” you see a list of folders named like the tags used by the Nextcloud instance. The folders contain the files and folders which are marked with the corresponding tag. And that’s it.

What if these folders contain more folders named like the tags used for files and folders which are tagged with more than one tag followed by the list of files and folders which are already listed in the actual version of Nextcloud? (The tag already selected by entering a folder ist not listed again.)

With this feature you see list of tags on top of the window where you normally see a list of directories like this: Tags > tag1 > tag2 Below you see a list of of all tags used with files and folders in addition to the tags in the “directory list” and if you scroll down there is the list of files and folders which match at last all the tags from the “directory list” containing the already selected tag names.

There is one more point we may think about. In the list of folders with tag names are now all tags known to the Nextcloud instance regardless if you have access to files and folders with these tags or not. It would be nice if you can select if you want to see the tag names or only those related to files and folders accessible for you. This could be done add a selector underneath the “Tags” filter like it is done with the “Favorites” or “Shares” filter. The selectors may be named “all tags” and “used tags” . For me "used tags" would be the preferred option.
