Documents that the admin MCP
create_nodetool now writes into an existing page when a page already exists at the givenpath, instead of failing. The page keeps its place in the navigation and the response includes
updated: true, so an AI tool can safely rerun an interrupted run. A new page whose content fails to save now returnsPAGE_SEED_FAILEDinstead of reporting success, and retrying with the samepathwrites the content.Based on create_node upserts existing pages, a merged admin MCP change.
Duplicate check: searched open and recent docs PRs by rgodha24 and ethanpalm, mintlify[bot] PRs, and titles containing "MCP" and "create_node". Open PR #7963 edits the
edit_pageandwrite_pagebullets on the same page; this PR only touches thecreate_nodebullet.Note

Overview
Updates the admin MCP
create_nodedocs to match new upsert behavior for pages. When a page already exists at the given
pathonbranch,create_nodenow writes the new content into that page instead of erroring. The page stays in its current nav position (even if a different parent is passed), and the response includesupdated: trueso agents can safely retry interrupted runs. The bullet also documents
PAGE_SEED_FAILEDwhen navigation is created but page content cannot be saved, and that callingcreate_nodeagain with the samepathis the recovery path to write the content.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit 0211cdd. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
