AI for Educators

presentation ai artificial-intelligence edtech education educators faculty-development professional-development teaching workshop

A 60-minute faculty development presentation helping educators understand and use AI thoughtfully in their teaching practice.

Overview

This resource focuses on a core insight: at the heart of ALL AI are instructions. Rather than overwhelming educators with jargon like "prompt engineering" or "context engineering," we focus on giving clear instructions and developing judgment about when and how to use AI.

Key themes:

  • Addressing AI shame and the fear of irrelevance
  • Your expertise matters MORE, not less
  • Three practical techniques you can use and teach
  • Assessment design for the AI era
  • Ethics and verification
