Summary

• advance the Windows package candidate from 9.7.0-mo.2 to 9.7.0-mo.4
• test the supported in-place upgrade from the currently published 9.7.0-mo.3
• pin and verify the published mo.3 MSI by SHA-256
• update the package script default and CI documentation to match the release gate

Why

ODBC fixes #21, #22, and #23 are now merged on main but are not present in
the published v9.7.0-mo.3 assets. A new package revision is required to ship
those fixes. The Windows workflow still built mo.2 and tested upgrade from
mo.1, so it could not serve as the release gate for the next package.

CI-produced Windows packages after merging the non-admin installer fix from #25:

• MSI: 46f4dc729ac6a9f921c648ac65945e0b86ea3b5f6c35a333f77e1be2c0b14db9
• ZIP: 30fb252bbf3c8cab2a0b904da38334b189373c9a86c61702285fe07d7124aeb1

Validated:

• all four PR checks are green;
• 12/12 no-pooling production cases pass on latest MatrixOne main, including 100,000-row write/read, 8 MiB binary, 2M-character text, pandas chunking, 32-connection atomic updates, and a 60-second mixed workload;
• a prior 30-minute soak completed 843,593 operations with zero errors;
• TPC-H SF1 (8 tables, 8,661,255 rows): 7 PASS / 1 issue-linked XFAIL / 0 unknown failures;
• service restart and network interruption both return 08S01 on the old connection and recover for 20/20 new connections;
• MSI/ZIP lifecycle: 9/9 PASS, plus non-admin registration regression PASS.

Do not merge or publish this as a production/stable release yet. Open end-to-end blockers:

• [Bug]: ODBC integer parameters in LIMIT/OFFSET are rejected as Incorrect arguments to EXECUTE matrixone#27640 — bound integer LIMIT/OFFSET fails with native error 1210;
• [Bug]: Connector/J ConnectionPoolDataSource cannot borrow connections because reset commands are unsupported matrixone#27644 — COM_CHANGE_USER and COM_RESET_CONNECTION are unsupported, preventing reliable pooled-session reset;
• packages are still unsigned.

The candidate may only be published later as an explicitly documented pre-release if release owners accept those risks.
