marketing brain inside your agent
The marketing brain inside your agent. Run /vantage, answer a few questions, and get a beautiful, evidence-backed competitive teardown.
Vantage maps the full digital-marketing surface of your rivals — positioning, content, website, paid, social, reputation — scores it into one Digital Share-of-Voice index, plots a positioning map, builds a competitive matrix, and writes rep-ready sales battlecards — then turns what you find into your positioning, ad concepts, content plan, and email flows. Every skill delivers a single, gorgeous, self-contained HTML report.

Vantage is a marketing-intelligence OS that lives inside your agent — not a single-vendor
tool. The skills are plain, portable markdown (skills/**/SKILL.md): an agent loads them as a
plugin, as rules, or as context, and runs the same console and the same reports wherever you work
— Claude · Codex · Cline · Pi · Hermes and beyond.
Most "competitive analysis" tools either dump data (rank trackers, ad-spy dashboards) or stay generic. Vantage turns public evidence into decisions. Every section ends in a move, every number cites a dated source, and the same evidence always yields the same score — output you can hand straight to a founder, a growth lead, or a sales rep.
- 🎯 Built for marketing & sales, not SEO audits. Positioning, messaging, offers, share-of-voice, and battlecards — the things that move pipeline.
- 🧮 A real scoring model. The Digital Share-of-Voice (DSoV) index scores every competitor and you 0–100 across six channels, so every cell reads as a gap.
- 🌐 Web-only, no keys. Runs entirely on
WebSearch+WebFetch. Uses public ad libraries, review sites, and the Wayback Machine. - 📄 A deliverable you'll want to send. One self-contained HTML file — your competitor's real logo, a heatmap matrix, a plotted 2×2 map, win/lose battlecards, a sourced evidence log. Print-to-PDF ready.
- 🤝 Plays well with others. Hands off cleanly to SEO/backlink skills for keyword-level depth instead of reinventing them.
| Deliverable | Description |
|---|---|
| Digital Share-of-Voice index | Weighted 0–100 score per competitor across Positioning, Content, Website, Paid, Social, Reputation |
| Competitive matrix | Color-banded heatmap of every brand × channel, with you highlighted |
| Positioning map | A 2×2 plotted from evidence — see exactly where the white space is |
| Channel teardowns | Messaging matrix, conversion/offer comparison, content engine, ad-creative intelligence, social share-of-voice, review-sentiment themes |
| Sales battlecards | Per-competitor: steelman, why-we-win, where-they-win, landmines, objection handling, do/don't |
| Action plan | Prioritized (Critical → High → Medium) moves tied to the gaps |
| Evidence log | Every claim linked to a public source with a capture date |
Every pack ships a real, self-contained HTML sample built on one fictional brand — Northpeak, a revenue-intelligence platform — so you can read a teardown and the marketing it produces as one continuous story. Open any of these in a browser:
| Pack | Sample (fictional data) |
|---|---|
| 🔍 Competitive Analysis | Competitive landscape → Northpeak vs. its market |
| 🛠 Positioning Studio | Messaging house |
| 🛠 Paid-Media Lab | Campaign concepts |
| 🛠 Content Engine | Content plan |
| 🛠 Lifecycle & Email | Lifecycle & email flows |
Vantage skills are portable markdown files. Claude Code loads them natively as a plugin; every other agent loads them as rules / instructions / context. Native one-command installers for more agents are on the roadmap.
Grab the skills once:
git clone https://github.com/macmenes/vantage.gitClaude / Claude Code — native plugin
/plugin marketplace add macmenes/vantage
/plugin install vantage@vantage
…or drop them in directly: cp -R vantage/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/
Then type /vantage.
Codex (OpenAI) — agent instructions
Point Codex at the skills from your AGENTS.md (project or ~/.codex/):
# Marketing intelligence — Vantage.os
When I ask for competitive analysis / "vantage", follow ./vantage/skills/vantage/SKILL.md
(and its referenced sub-skills) exactly. Then ask: "run Vantage on acme.com."
Cline — rules / workflow
Add the skills as a Cline rule or workflow:
mkdir -p .clinerules && cp -R vantage/skills/* .clinerules/vantage/Then ask Cline to "run the Vantage competitive analysis."
Pi · Hermes · any other agent — universal method
Any agent that accepts custom instructions works: load vantage/skills/**/SKILL.md as the agent's
system prompt / rules / context, then ask it to "run Vantage competitive analysis on ."
The flow, scoring, and HTML report are identical everywhere.

Vantage uses public sources only — ad transparency libraries, review sites, the Wayback
Machine, and public pages. No impersonation, no breaching auth or paywalls, no scraping gated data,
no disparagement in battlecards (it steelmans rivals, then counters with evidence). Every
quantitative claim is cited with a capture date. See
skills/vantage/references/ethics-and-tos.md.
Vantage is built as an OS / hub: /vantage is the front door to a growing pack of marketing skills.
