Periodic regeneration of metrics/language-census.md per its documented recipe (cloc 2.06, git-tracked files only, membership derived from origin remotes at scan time).

Totals: 262,696 lines of code across 1,821 unique files in 22 repos (was 242,774 / 1,499 / 18 on 2026-07-25).

Scope churn this cycle:

• In (+5): asclepias, lupinus, mitchella, monarda, osmunda — the August-born repos, all documentation-first.
• Out (−1): reference-checker left the org 2026-08-16 (chore(fleet): remove reference-checker from fleet settings ahead of transfer #146); its local remote was repointed 2026-08-23, taking its committed reports/*.html out of the census (HTML drops 7,628 → 2,947).
• homeassistant-config → epigaea rename picked up (same repo, feat(fleet): rename homeassistant-config to epigaea #147).
• The three archived repos rehomed to cjpitzi stay in scope: their local origins still carry github.com/lentago/ URLs, and the membership rule is the remote string, consistent with prior cycles.

Notable movement: Markdown broke 1,000 files (1,051); Python nearly doubled (5,219 → 9,784) with mitchella arriving Python-first; the executing spine is now a three-way tie between Shell, Python, and the JS family.

Recipe fix: the regeneration loop in the Methodology section still walked a flat ~/repos/*/, which finds no repos since the 2026-08-12 owner-grouped reorg (lentago/, cpitzi/, applause/); it now walks both levels. Update-log rows were also reordered chronologically (the 2026-07-25 row had been inserted above 2026-06-29).
