This prepares the first
0.1.0b1beta release forlance-cuvsby aligning version metadata across the root package, the CUDA 12 backend package, and their lockfiles. It also updates the README to document the beta release line, the required Lance commit for integration, and the wheel-only release contract for this beta.I validated the loader-side release path with
just loader-test,uv lock --check,cargo metadata --manifest-path backends/cuvs_26_02/Cargo.toml --format-version 1 --no-deps,uv build --wheel --out-dir dist, andjust test-loader-wheel. GPU and Linux backend release validation remain the follow-up gates before publishing the beta artifacts.
