What it does

SponsorSpy is a web tool for influencer marketing research. It connects to the YouTube Data API and uses AI analysis to give you two things:

Brand Radar scans YouTube videos in any niche and region, then detects brand partnerships and sponsorship mentions inside video descriptions.

Creator Finder discovers YouTube channels matching your criteria (subscribers, average views, country, language) and extracts their public business contact info.

Both modules export results to Excel in one click.

Setup

git clone <repo-url>
cd IMR_tool

python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate  # Windows: venv\Scripts\activate

pip install -r requirements.txt

Create a .env file at the project root:

SECRET_KEY=your-django-secret-key
YOUTUBE_API_KEY=your-youtube-api-key
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your-anthropic-api-key

Then run:

python manage.py migrate
python manage.py createsuperuser
python manage.py runserver

Open http://127.0.0.1:8000 and create an account.

How it works

Brand Radar

1. Searches YouTube videos by keywords, region, and time period
2. Filters by minimum view count
3. Sends each video description to Claude Haiku for brand/sponsor extraction
4. Returns a table with channel name, video link, views, detected brands, and the relevant snippet
5. One-click Excel export

Creator Finder

1. Searches YouTube videos by keywords to discover channels (more reliable than channel search)
2. Fetches channel details: subscribers, total views, country, description
3. Filters by subscriber range, average views, and creator's declared country
4. Extracts business emails from channel descriptions via regex
5. One-click Excel export
