This look great for demonstrating the effect of "coalesced vs. uncoalesced" mem layout for GPUs, but part of what we use the exercise for in the tutorials is to also demonstrate is "cached vs. uncached" mem on CPU. I think we will need that. Let me bring this back up on the nucleus chat to see if other agree and which GPU arch we should keep. |

Updated for more modern architectures. Fixed size means that the matrix always has the same number of elements.
