Does it work only for images?

Hi,
Its working fine with images. However I want to keep other attachment filetypes as well in Eagle such as PDF, Videos etc.

I also tried, keeping the PDF and video files in Eagle first, then tried "Search Eagle Library and Embed" command but it does render.

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the slow reply.

What happens today (1.8.2): the search modal does find PDFs and videos (the Videos / Docs file-type filters exist for exactly that), but the line the plugin inserts is an image-style embed pointing at the original file, e.g. ![name](file:///…/file.pdf). Obsidian only renders that syntax inline for image formats, so for a PDF or video you get an empty/broken embed instead of a preview. The metadata line and the "Open in Eagle" link still work.

Workaround right now: set Link mode to "Eagle link only — hyperlink text" in the plugin settings. For PDFs and videos you then get a clean [name](eagle://item/…) link that opens the item in Eagle, with no broken embed.

Planned fix: treat non-image items explicitly on insert:

• PDF / video → insert Eagle's own generated thumbnail (Eagle already creates one for these) as an image linked to the item via eagle://, plus the metadata card. That gives a visible preview and one click to open the real file.
• Keep the current behaviour for images.

If you'd rather have a different shape for PDFs/videos (for example a plain link with the metadata card, or an Obsidian ![[…]]-style embed that Obsidian can render as a PDF viewer), let me know here and I'll take it into account. I'll leave this issue open until it ships.
