I would like to offer this patch to support CPU/core affinity for thread pool workers. To enable affinity just define -DAFFINITY, workers will be spread across online cores using Round-Robin. In case of threads in pool = HW concurrency this make some performance gain and decrease overall pool latency. It is well-tested on SPARC/x86 Solaris and on Linux.
