Batching files with + improves performance by reducing process overhead, and removing the redundant -r flag is recommended since find already provides paths. Crucially, removing 2>/dev/null ensures that any regex compilation or locale errors (e.g., if the environment isn't set to UTF-8 for PCRE) are visible in the logs rather than silently passing the gate.
