The naming actually is worse since it communicates different semantics - which is not how it I intended it to be interpreted |

This is not the "marker of the platform" (or "marker of an artifact on/from a given platform") it is, rather, a "marker specified in the platform definition". Can be anything since platforms themselves are not necessarily semantically linked to artifacts. Hence the term marker in the first place. |
