π docs: clarify Goose AAIF relationship - #10714
Conversation
Reword Goose/AAIF documentation so Hive is described only as an independent CNCF project integrating Goose, not as joining, aligning with, or seeking listing in AAIF. Co-authored-by: Copilot <223556219+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Anderson <andy@clubanderson.com>

One wording question a human should settle before this lands; the rest of the rewording is consistent with the rest of the tree.
"independent CNCF project" asserts a status the repo's own docs describe as pending. The new text in README.md:618 ("Hive integrates Goose as an independent CNCF project") and src/docs/landscape.md:19-21 (same phrase) reads as a statement that Hive is a CNCF project. The canonical self-assessment says otherwise at src/docs/security-self-assessment.md:5 ("submitted as a supporting artifact of Hive Commons' CNCF Sandbox β¦") and :10 ("mirrored into cncf/toc β¦ for the CNCF Sandbox application") β i.e. an application, not an accepted project. src/docs/general-technical-review.md:95 frames it differently again ("part of the KubeStellar CNCF Sandbox project family"). Removing an over-claim about AAIF by introducing an over-claim about CNCF would be a net wash for the stated goal.
Question for the maintainer: is Hive an accepted CNCF project today, or a Sandbox applicant? If the latter, "an independent open-source project" (or "a CNCF Sandbox applicant") in both places keeps the AAIF disclaimer intact without asserting CNCF status.
Everything else checked out: src/Dockerfile:283, src/Dockerfile.contributor:329, config/backends.conf:373 are comment-only; docs/backend-setup.md, docs/goose-at-scale.md keep the same aaif-goose/goose release source and pin language; the dropped aaif/aaif-landscape#22 paragraph in landscape.md matches the body's stated intent to remove listing-eligibility language. I have not changed or closed anything.
