I decided I want to try Ecne as a tool. It works fine for existing r1cs files in the repo. But whenever I compile a circuit with circom myself it stops working I noticed that the r1cs files that circom generates for me a different than the ones in the repo. I just assume this is because of the circom version, I haven't digged it deeper
