Statistics and Logging

The Stats & Log panel (Alt+5) provides live operational visibility into DMXRouter's activity.

Metrics Dashboard

Eight live cards show key metrics:

Metric	Description
Packets In/s	Current inbound packet rate
Packets Out/s	Current outbound packet rate
Total In	Total packets received since launch
Total Out	Total packets transmitted since launch
Active Universes	Number of universes currently in use
Error Count	Total protocol errors detected
Sequence Errors	Out-of-order or missing sequence numbers
Uptime	Time since DMXRouter started

Cards are colour-coded: green (healthy), red (errors), grey (idle).

Throughput Chart

A rolling 2-minute chart shows inbound (cyan) and outbound (green) packet rates. The Y axis auto-scales with smooth decay to prevent visual jumps on scale changes.

Per-Interface Breakdown

Packet counts, Art-Net/sACN protocol split, and error totals for each network interface.

Per-Universe Breakdown

Packet rates, merge operation counts, sequence errors, and last-seen timestamps for each active universe.

Event Log

A ring buffer of 10,000 entries capturing all application events:

• Automatic category tagging — ArtNet, sACN, Transport, Merge, Discovery, Network, System
• Severity levels — Debug, Info, Warning, Critical
• Filterable by level and category
• Auto-scroll toggle to follow new entries or freeze for inspection
• Monospace font for aligned readability

Pop-Out Log

Click the Pop-out button to detach the log into its own floating window. Filters, auto-scroll, and live entries keep working while floating. Close or click Dock to snap it back.
