Support dropped for rpms?

I wanted to update to the latest version of Pushpin, v1.42. But when I looked at the install documentation on the website, the section on rpm packages has been removed. Also, the JFrog site where the rpm repo was located is no longer there (or is behind login). Are rpms going to be supported in future releases?

Hey @cwthomas-llu, thanks for checking in about this and sorry it wasn't announced much louder.

We did remove support for the RPM packages in general. We found that there wasn't a particularly high demand as compared to the Debian packaging and we decided the correct move with limited resources was to focus on making sure the Debian side of things was in its best possible state.

This doesn't mean that RPM packages are dead forever, but for the time being they're not supported.

If you want to poke around, it should be possible to access legacy RPM packages with something like:

 echo -e '[pushpin]\nname=Pushpin Repository\nbaseurl=https://packages.pushpin.org/rpm/centos8' > /etc/yum.repos.d/pushpin.repo && \
 dnf install -y epel-release && \
 dnf install -y pushpin && \
 pushpin --version

But not sure how much that helps you if you're focused on the new ones. And it could break at anytime.

Of course, you can still build from source.
