Wierd bug - Encryptpad crashes after passphrase is correctly entered

This bug might be hard to track or fix. versions after 0.5.0.1 crash as soon as the passphrase to my encryption key is entered.
Version 0.5.0.1 works, as do versions previous to this.
I am using Windows 10 version 10.0.19045.
I have tried creating a new encryptpad (.epd) file.
I have also tried creating a new encryption key & then a new encryptpad (.epd) file with the same result.
What I don't understand is on a second Windows 10 computer (laptop), all versions of encryptpad, even up to 0.5.0.4 work without problem.

Is there something simple that could cause this?

Please try the following. The log will be generated and it can tell us what happened immediately prior to the crash

encryptpad.exe --log-file epad.log --log-severity verbose

I used the command above. Up to version 0.5.0.1, it opened my files & generated a full log.
Version 0.5.0.2 crashed on opening & contained the following in the log:

2025-09-15 09:38:15.794 INFO [9964] [qMain@162] Log instance started

I also tried version 0.5.0.4 & this also crashed on opening & contained the following in the log:

2025-09-15 09:39:31.988 INFO [2868] [qMain@165] Log instance started 2025-09-15 09:39:37.388 INFO [2868] [EncryptPad::OpenFile@82] Opening file N:/server hosting.epd
