feat: add read routes for incremental record reconciliation - #240
Conversation
A host's debugger reconciles the runtime's records into its own index.
Until now it re-read whole sessions and could not page past the newest
500 tasks, actions or agent messages. These additions are read-only.
When the new parameters are absent, responses are unchanged, apart from
the new updated_at field on each session list item.
- GET /api/sessions/{id}/messages/{message_id}: one message in display form
- GET /api/sessions?updated_after=: sessions changed since a time
- before=<id> keyset paging on tasks, actions and agent messages
- GET /api/counts?from=&to= (admin): records created in a time range,
for completeness checks

The display list includes delivered steering, so a message id it shows must resolve. Queued steering stays 404, as it is not displayed yet. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to In-memory pagination can miss records when insertion and creation-time order differ. Align its ordering before merging, or accept this bounded reconciliation risk. Remaining uncertainty concerns deployment authentication boundaries, while reconciliation timestamps and counts have documented storage-dependent limitations. before applying the `before` cursor and limit, matching database pagination

Read-only additions so a host's debugger can reconcile the runtime's records into its own index without re-reading whole sessions, and can page past the newest 500 records. When the new parameters are absent, responses are unchanged, apart from one new field:
updated_aton each session list item.Changes
GET /api/sessions/{id}/messages/{message_id}returns one entry in the display form/messagesuses. That includes delivered steering; queued steering returns 404.GET /api/sessions?updated_after=<ISO 8601>returns only sessions updated strictly later. Without a timezone the value is read as UTC. Each list item now carriesupdated_at. Without Postgres, that is the session's last-used time.before=<id>keyset paging onGET /api/tasksandGET /api/agents/{id}/messages, by(created_at, id).GET /api/actionspages byid, its existing order. An unknown cursor, or one the caller cannot see, returns 404.GET /api/counts?from=&to=(admin only) returns events, tasks, actions, agent messages and conversation messages created in[from, to), for completeness checks. A service that is not running counts 0. Voice calls carry no timestamps yet, so they are not counted. No schema change. Docs:
docs/api.md,docs/access.md.A follow-up will add
updated_atcolumns, a per-session message change feed andupdated_aftercursors. Message rows are updated in place after they are created, so an id cursor alone would miss those updates.Verification
make check: 2982 passed, 1 skipped (Postgres-only); ruff and format clean. Run from a copy without a local.env.gpt-6-astra, high effort, separate read-only context, 2 rounds.Part of #83
